A large number of the IBA team have left the London Office and will be waiting in Dubai to greet you at registration and answer your questions then, and throughout the week.

New registrations and amendments to existing registrations are now only possible in Dubai. If you are now unable to attend please inform us at conferences@int-bar.org.

Meanwhile, a number of frequently asked questions and the answers are listed below.

Registration Times

The registration desk is located in Exhibition Hall 7, Ground Floor, DICEC for collection of conference documentation: name badge, delegate bag, working programme, List of Participants, booked social function tickets and memory stick giving access to the IBA website in order to download speakers’ papers. All papers received by Monday 24 October will be available from www.ibanet.org/conferences/Dubai2011/

Cyber Café

- located in the Exhibition Hall 7, Ground Floor, DICEC. Access to the internet is free for delegates – limited to 30 minute sessions.

Business Centre

– there is an extensive permanent business centre located on-site on the Ground Floor of the DICEC.

Message Centre

- there is no message centre this year Delegates can leave messages for one another at their hotels in Dubai or via the mobile delegate ap (m.ibanet.org/index.cfm).

Registration Fees
Full delegate fees include:
  • Attendance at all working sessions
  • Conference documents including: final programme and conference list of participants.
  • Speaker papers access via memory stick (or log-on to IBA website)
  • Opening Ceremony and Welcome party (Sunday 30 October)
  • Lunches (Monday – Friday inclusive), plus tea/coffee during breaks.
  • Hosted reception on Thursday 3 November
  • Transfers between the airport and official IBA Conference Hotels on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October
  • Shuttle bus service between the official IBA Conference Hotels and DICEC every day
  • Accompanying Persons/Exhibitors do NOT have access to working sessions unless fully registered or as full or day delegate.

Fast Track

All delegates who have registered and paid for the conference, social functions and membership fees in full before Wednesday 19 October will receive a voucher by e-mail on Thursday 27 October to join the fast track registration desk in Dubai. Delegates need to bring a print out or keep the e-mail to show staff on their smartphones.

Current registration options

Delegates cannot register through the London office now and must register on-site in Dubai at the Conference Headquarters during registration times. Fees below:

IBA member/ reduced membership / young lawyer /academic / judges / senior lawyer £1725
Non- member £1980
Accompanying person £220
 

Cancellation of registration and tickets

Any delegate cancelling after Wednesday 19 October will not receive a refund of registration fees or tickets.
- Delegates can transfer their registration to another member of their company or law firm but only now on-site in Dubai with written authorisation from the original delegate.

Social function tickets

Pre-purchased tickets can be collected at the conference registration desk or can be purchased subject to availability at the Conference registration desk. The following functions have sold out:

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party – Sunday 30 October

Name badges are needed to access both events.
Opening Ceremony held at the DICEC 1800 – 1930
Welcome Party held at desert location 1930 – 2230
Return transport will only depart from the DICEC after the opening ceremony (not from hotels)

Airport Transfers

The IBA will provide airport transfers only on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October. No return transport is provided. The airport is only 15 - 20 minutes from central Dubai.
