Abstract
Trying to identify an overarching scheme that reflects the current development of human rights is a challenging, if not impossible, task. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Human Rights Institute of the International Bar Association published a book entitled Our Freedoms: A Decade's Reflection on the Advancement of Human Rights, which attempts to do just this. Through its 11 chapters, Our Freedoms explores significant landmarks and themes in international human rights law, drawing together issues from across the legal, social and political spectrums.
